Become a PAL Center

PAL centers are a home away from home for young people in need of safe, supportive environments. We’re always looking for new locations across the Erie region.

Contact us today if you are an interested center location.

Volunteer

If reached early enough, young people develop strong positive attitudes towards police officers in their journey through life toward the goal of becoming mature, employable, crime-free and productive citizens.

There are a variety of ways to get involved. We are looking for talented and dedicated people to help with the children we serve daily in the City of Erie. To start, please fill out this form to email a volunteer coordinator.

Sponsors

The Police Athletic League of Erie keeps kids safe by providing them a place to go after school where they can participate in supervised athletic, academic and cultural activities. In order to keep all of the activities running smoothly, PAL relies on the help of volunteers to coach, mentor, tutor and assist Center Directors with everyday procedures.

We are always in need of sponsors for our centers and activities. For more information on how you can help, please contact us below.

Kids growing up in the Erie region are burdened by a triple threat posed by poverty, crime, and inequality. In fact, an overwhelming majority of Erie students; at most recent count more than 80% in Erie School District, are economically disadvantaged. While the District offers a wide array of athletic opportunities to students, the percentage of all students who are participating in interscholastic sports programs (including intramural play) is only 9%. A donation to Erie PAL can provide these students with a safe place to go and help them grow into productive citizens.
